REVAMPED ECR

EPFO will shortly be introducing the revamped Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) for wage month Sept 2025 onwards with the following key features:

  1. Segregation of Return and Payment
  2. System-based validations to prevent submission of incorrect ECR.
  3. Provision for calculation of damages and interest along with ECR.
  4. Provision of revision of ECR with certain conditions
  5. No change in the existing format of the ECR.
